Our Mission

What We Do

Friends of the KSA Libraries exist to help our libraries serve you better, through program support as well as volunteering at events. Below is a list of some of the projects we have supported over the years. Your support of the Friends Book Stores and semi-annual sales keeps the Friends alive and we in turn work tirelessly to improve your library experience.

Money raised by the Friends benefit all the KSAL branch libraries. Grants have included the following support:

* Summer Reading Programs for Children
* Author Visits
* Smithsonian Traveling Exhibits & Events
* Inclement weather book protection sacks
* Flag pole at Hayden Library
* Bookmobile GPS system
* Furniture & equipment
* Library outreach picnic St. Vincent de Paul Transitional Housing Shelter
* Book carts for patrons at Hayden

* Grant money for library staff attendance at Public Library Association Conference spring 2008
