What we do:
Events sponsored by the Friends

Friends of the Kootenai Shoshone Area Libraries is proud to sponsor events for and at our local libraries. You can find events throughout the community year round!

Friends of the KSA Libraries exist to help our libraries serve you better, through program support as well as volunteering at events. Below is a list of some of the projects we have supported over the years. Your support of the Friends Book Stores and semi-annual sales keeps the Friends alive and we in turn work tirelessly to improve your library experience.

Money raised by the Friends benefit all the KSAL branch libraries. Grants have included the following support:

Comic Book Day
Flag Pole at Hayden Library
IHC Speaker David Leroy, Abraham Lincoln and Idaho
Speaker's Bureau presentations
Smithsonian Institution Traveling exhibit
Public Library Association Conference
Summer Reading
Teen Read Week
Idaho Family Reading Week
Library Lions Writing Competition
Public Library Association Conference
Smithsonian Institution Traveling exhibit

We hope that you're as passionate about our libraries as we are. Friends of the Library works to promote librarianship as a career and to encourage local authors, new and established alike.
